Trash Bat was conceived on May 25, 2026. I am currently using hosting services by Web Hosting Canada*, and I am using the WordPress platform for blogging.
So, what is a trash bat anyhow? Well, the name “Trash Bat” comes from a song of the same name by the band AFI, from their 2018 EP The Missing Man. Though the band has shrugged it off as a stream of consciousness thing while writing, and they do not give it a literal, fixed meaning, fan speculation has given the term a meaning of embracing insecurities, low culture nostalgia, and creative freedom (of which I happen to agree).
It’s a banger, what can I say?
Trash Bat is meant to serve as my little spot on the internet to house my writing, my poetry, my daily musings, my craft, my photos, and whatever else I want to post here.
